I started Commonplace as a way to slow down. The internet rewards speed — faster posts, hotter takes, more engagement. This site is the opposite.
I write about whatever holds my attention long enough to finish a draft: books, quiet mornings, the occasional strong opinion about coffee. No niche. No editorial calendar. Just words when I have them.
By day I work in design. By night I read too much and sleep too little. This blog is the overlap.
